Beginners
Tennis Hot Shots is the national starter tennis programme for New Zealand children.
Smaller courts, shorter racquets and softer balls mean that kids can play a proper game of tennis from the moment they step on court. Learn more
Hot Shots Red Stage
(usually aged 5 - 7)
Coaching groups are small, with around 6 children per coach.
Tues 3:30 - 4:15pm

Coaching groups are small, with around 6 children per coach.

Interclub Players
Interclub teams participate in the Tennis Canterbury Summer Competition.
We have interclub teams for all age groups and every level of play.
Teams have 1 hour of weekly coaching during the summer interclub season.
Teams compete in both single and double matches.
Matches are played across a wide range of clubs and locations throughout the city.
Parents/caregivers of the team members are required to transport & supervise the team on a roster basis, and must stay with the team for the duration of the matches.
Summer interclub season runs from October – March.
Teams need to be submitted to Tennis Canterbury by 15 September 2023.
Juniors compete in interclub either:

With the emphasis on the fun and social side of tennis.
Catering to high school students who prefer not to participate in interclub.
Ability doesn't matter - all levels welcome!
