Fees, membership, rules

 

Avonhead Tennis is registered for GST and all fees include this tax.

Fees for the year, September 2010- August 2011

 

NOTE: Any fees paid AFTER 1 October 2010 will incur the increased GST 

 

Casual play (non members)

 

The fee is $12 per hour, payable per court.  The fee can be paid in $1 or $2 coins into the unlocking ‘slot’ machine at the gate, or the fee can be paid to the Coach.

Casual players cannot use the courts at organised times (unless several courts are obviously unused).  Casual players may participate in the club sessions as guests and the fee is $5.00.

 

Organised times include:

Saturdays: most of the day

Wednesdays: After 6p.m.- 8 p.m.  during summer (O.K. if courts are not busy)

Tuesday 3.30pm -6 pm  during summer when Juniors and ‘Under 10 year olds’ have organised tennis games.

 

Casual Players who use the courts more than 3 times in a summer, may be expected to join the club.

Single School term:

This is a special rate for those children who are learning tennis.

 

 

Use of Flood lights 

 

A coin box  can switch on the lights. Fee is $2 for half an hour.  NOTE: lights cannot be used after 9 p.m.

 

 

 

Coaching:  Private

 

Contact the Club Coach for rates and availability.

 

 

Some Rules

 

Court use

All seniors have preference over Juniors on Saturday afternoons and after 5 p.m. on weekdays, except on Fridays, when Juniors can use the floodlit courts until 7 p.m.

 

When members are waiting for games, players must not occupy the courts for more than ONE hour, unless a ladder or championship match is being played.

 

Court etiquette will apply at all times.  Members can be suspended for misbehaviour.

 

Financial

Only members paying a full year subscription can qualify for Interclub teams.

All financial members receive a membership ‘sticker’ that is placed on the tennis racquet.

They are also given a PIN number to unlock the gate. This number must be kept confidential.

 

Dress

Tennis shoes must be worn at all times, on the courts

Appropriate tennis clothing must be worn during club times. Not necessarily whites, but tidy.

 

Smoking

Strictly prohibited on the courts or in pavilion.

 

General

Cycles, skateboards and activities other than tennis are prohibited on the courts
